The German virtual exhibition "Arts in Exile" (Künste im Exil), opened on 18 September 2013 by the former Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media, Bernd Neumann, is now also available in English. The intent of the the exhibition is to present German (or in Korngold’s case, Austrian) émigrés and their work within the context of actual debates on exile and emigration, accessible worldwide throughout this bilingual (English/German) site. Images of the manuscript of Korngold’s 2nd movement of the Op. 23 Suite for 2 violins, cello and piano left hand, "Valse," is contained on this virtual exhibition. link to Korngold's manuscript |
