"Korngold is the greatest hope of German music. He has so much talent, he could easily give us half--and still have enough left for himself." - Giacomo Puccini (1920) |

For further assistance, please contact Troy Dixon, website editor.
The main publisher for Korngold's concert and operatic works in Europe is Schott Music International, which has its main offices in Mainz, Germany and London, UK. It is represented in the USA by European American Music Distributors. Links to the relevant websites are below. Josef Weinberger publishes Korngold's fifth and final opera Die Kathrin and most of the operettas. Universal Edition publishes his ballet Der Schneemann, the Piano Sonata no. 1 in D minor and the Piano Trio in D major, opus 1.
Korngold's film music is controlled throughout the world by Warner Chappell, although a number of short suites from some of these scores are available via EAM (see link below). It should be noted that the full scores of Korngold's film music are not published at the moment, and those orchestras wishing to perform extended excerpts from these scores will need to arrange for the appropriate permissions from Warner Bros and arrange for copies of the archival material, by contacting the University of Southern California (see link below).
